Sudhir joined the ICICI Venture team in 2005. He brings a well-rounded financial service experience spanning 12 years, having worked in investment banking, structured finance, corporate finance and credit rating. At ICICI Venture he focuses on investments in the Banking & Financial services, Hospitality and Energy sectors. He was responsible for the investments in Reliance Petroleum and Kalpataru Power amongst others.

He started his career in ICICI Securities, the investment-banking subsidiary of ICICI Bank where he was responsible for equity and debt syndication for companies in the oil and gas sector. Subsequently he was part of the team that set-up the structured finance business of ICICI Bank.  Thereafter he worked in corporate finance at Enron India and BPL Cellular. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, he was Senior Director at Fitch Ratings where he was a key member of the India team.

Sudhir is a chemical engineer from the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
