Subir joined ICICI Venture in 2006. Prior to this, he has close to 16 years of experience in the areas of project management, investment banking, stressed asset management, corporate banking and entrepreneurship. At ICICI Venture, he heads the mezzanine practice and is the Chief – Investments for the Mezzanine Fund. 

Subir started his financial services career in Ind Global Financial Trust, a boutique investment bank where he advised both domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising programmes. Post an entrepreneurial stint in the internet domain, Subir joined the Stressed asset management group of ICICI Limited. Subsequently, he has been in senior relationship positions of the Corporate Banking Group of ICICI Bank. Immediately prior to ICICI Venture, he was in the Structured Products Group of ICICI Bank looking after acquisition financing and structuring large corporate finance borrowing programs. Earlier Subir has also worked in Siemens Limited in the projects division. 

Subir is an electrical engineer from Jadavpur University and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
