Shweta has been with ICICI Venture since 2000. At ICICI Venture, she focuses on investments in buy-outs and consumer related growth capital investments. She has
been involved in the buy-out practice of ICICI Venture ever since its inception
and has seen several investments through their life cycle from investment to successful
exit. Co-Lead four buy-out transactions at ICICI Venture-- Ace Refractories, Tebma
Shipyard, VA Tech WABAG and Infomedia 18. She has also co-led a growth capital investment
in Rubamin Ltd. She has played a key role in raising India Advantage Fund Series I & II with a fund size of US$ 267 million and US$ 841 million respectively.
This includes marketing the fund and documentation and negotiation with all investors.
Prior to joining ICICI Venture, Shweta was with the Corporate Finance department of Ernst & Young. At Ernst & Young, she worked on valuations and private equity placements for media and technology companies.
Shweta is an economics graduate and has also completed her Masters in Business Administration.
