Sandeep joined ICICI Venture in 2007 and was initially responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities across Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure sector before moving on to his present position. He developed a keen understanding of the value chain and emerging opportunities in sectors like Food and Agri and Defence Industry. He worked actively on many transactions including two large transactions in the infrastrucutre space and one in the education space. Sandeep has about 20 years experience in the financial services industry, of which 16 years has been with ICICI Bank during the course of which he worked as a project finance officer, financing a number of projects in manufacturing, services and infrastrucutre sector, interacted extensively with Government on the policy initiaitves and regulatory aspects of various infrastructure sectors like power, telecom, rural roads and railways. His last position within the Bank was General Manager, Corporate Banking – Northern Region. In this capacity, Sandeep oversaw all the Bank’s activities in the region across commercial banking, investment banking, project finance and structured finance where he managed a debt portfolio of more than USD 5 Billion. He worked extensively with both corporate and public sector clients and was involved in a number of financing transactions across Asia, Europe and North America. Sandeep began his career with HCL and worked with Uptron and Siemens before joining ICICI Bank.

Sandeep has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from REC, Kurukshetra and a Master’s degree in Management and Systems from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
