Rajeev joined ICICI Venture as Joint Managing Director in 2008. With 29 years of corporate and senior management experience, Rajeev provides overall leadership to the firm. He works closely with the investment teams to shape investment strategies and evaluation of investment opportunities. Rajeev specifically focuses on and leads our Real Estate practice and also provides leadership in strengthening ICICI Venture's presence and capability in successfully winning and managing large buyout deals. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, Rajeev was most recently based in Hong Kong as the Senior Vice President - Commercial of Asia Pacific for Pepsi Co. Before that, he served as the Chairman of Pepsi India for over 5 years. Prior to joining the Pepsi organization, Rajeev spent 9 years with Cadbury. During his time at Cadbury, he was the Managing Director of the firm's India operations and also served as the Managing Director of Cadbury's South African business. Rajeev began his career with Lakme India, where he spent 13 years in different roles, culminating in being appointed the Head of Sales and Marketing for Lakme India.
Rajeev has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
