Prior to joining ICICI Venture as ‘President’, Partha was General Manager with the Project Finance business of ICICI Bank. He joined this business in 1998 and initially worked on project finance deals in the power sector. Subsequently, he diversified across the full spectrum of infrastructure sectors and was overseeing the entire infrastructure financing space which included sector coverage, deal origination and successful execution of financing transactions. Over the years, he has been very closely involved with the evolution of each sub - sectors and has played active role in developing bankable frameworks for financing. He has looked at significant majority of private sector infrastructure transactions closed in India and has successfully led more than 75 transactions aggregating to more than $20 billion across the capital structure including senior debt, mezzanine / convertibles and equity. Partha has also developed deep relationships with a number of leading infrastructure sponsors. He has also been involved in advisory assignments for the Government.

Partha received a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and is a rank holder at both the programs.
