Anand has been with ICICI Venture team since early 2000 and had over 4 years of prior experience in banking, hospitality and IT industries. He currently focuses for investments in sectors, which are primarily driven by domestic consumptions demand, like brands, retail, media and entertainment and education. His responsibilities include sourcing a transaction, leading the execution team and subsequently managing the investment till exit. . Anand currently serves on boards of Mahindra Retail, Metropolis Health Services, TechProcess Solutions, Tops Securities and Transafe Services. He has also been involved in the investments in Mahindra Retail, TOPS Securities, Metropolis, Geometric Software, Malladi Drugs, Gateway Distriparks, Ranbaxy Fine Chemicals amongst others. He has worked on multiple exits such as sale to strategic investors (RelQ, Miditech and Infowavz), sale to financial investors (Tech Process) and IPOs (InfoEdge). Prior to ICICI Venture, Anand worked with ANZ Grindlays Bank, India for two years as an interest rate trader. He also spent two years in the hospitality and IT industries.

Anand is a Mechanical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
