Amit joined ICICI Venture in 2008 and was initially responsible for identifying potential investment opportunities across Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure sector before moving on to his present position. He developed a keen understanding of the value chain and emerging opportunities in sectors like Food and Agri and Defence Industry. He worked actively on a large transaction in the infrastructure space. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, Amit worked with Cadbury Asia-Pacific and HCL Technologies. He has corporate experience in the areas of valuation, strategic planning, commercial finance and internal audits.

Amit has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow. He is also a certified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary.
