Mr. Sinor's expertise comes from a career spanning over 43 years in the commercial banking sector.
He joined the Central Bank of India in 1965, moving to the Union Bank of India in 1969, where he worked for 28 years, and held a series of positions, including that of General Manager.
In 1996, he was appointed Executive Director of the Central Bank of India. He joined ICICI Bank in July 1997 as Executive Director, and was appointed Managing Director and CEO in 1998. Following the merger of ICICI and ICICI Bank in 2002, he served as Joint Managing Director of ICICI Bank.
Mr. Sinor retired from ICICI Bank in 2003 and joined the Indian Bank's Association as Chief Executive and Secretary. He has worked on various committees of the Reserve Bank of India, the Indian Bank's Association and the Confederation of Indian Industry, actively contributing to their policy and decision-making processes.
Mr. Sinor holds degrees in commerce and law.
