Akash joined ICICI Venture in 2007 and has over 7 years of prior experience in Investment banking, banking and IT. In his current role, he focuses on evaluating investment opportunities in sectors primarily driven by domestic consumption like brands, retail, automotive, FMCG, media and entertainment and education. In his earlier role Akash was responsible for investments in buyout and growth transactions in select industrial sectors and was involved in investments in Metalcastello SpA and Mahindra Gears & Transmissions Pvt Ltd.

Prior to ICICI Venture, Akash worked in the Investment banking division of Edelweiss Capital Limited, ICICI Bank in their International Banking group and with Infosys Technologies Limited.

Akash is an Electronics Engineer from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jaipur and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
