Aanandjit joined ICICI Venture in 2007 and spearheads the investments in the real estate sector. Prior to this, he has over 15 years experience in real estate development, acquisition and investment management in the United States and in India. He was the Chief Investment Officer of the India Property Fund where he was responsible for working with the investment committee on fund strategies and executing the Fund's investments, including identifying, negotiating & structuring, financing & exiting investments and developing & maintaining investor & intermediary relationships. During this period he made several investments including the first multi services SEZ, The World Trade Centre in Gurgoan etc. Earlier he was the country head for acquisitions for Ascendas India.

In the United States , he has served as Vice President at Libra Consulting Corporation, Portfolio Associate at Trammel Crow Company and worked with Vornado Realty Trust as part of its Retail Group, Development and Acquisitions. He has a wealth of experience in acquisition and development of real estate, structuring of investments and partnering with land owners and other industry participants in jointly investing in real estate opportunities.

Aanandjit is a commerce graduate from University of Madras , an M.B.A from Moravian College, Pennsylvania . He has also received a Masters degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University , New York.
